Jim and Ashley Cash are multi-instrumentalists, award-winning recording artists, and veteran educators who have spent over two decades guiding students and seekers toward deeper creativity, greater wellbeing, and lives lived in resonance. Co-founders of one of Northern Virginia's most respected private music academies, they bring the precision of master teachers and the depth of active performing artists to everything they offer.

Jim holds a degree in Anthropology alongside his classical guitar studies under Larry Snitzler — a direct student of Andrés Segovia — and is an award-winning songwriter whose music has been licensed to Discovery, TLC, and PBS. His folk-rock project Woven Green and progressive rock project Waking Stone, featuring Nik Hughes of Bush on drums, have earned international press across Mexico and Spain. Ashley, a classically trained vocalist, guitarist, and percussionist, was named Best Modern Rock Vocalist at the Washington Area Music Awards and has been described by critics as "stunning," "otherworldly," and "worthy of emulating."

Their work reaches across traditions. In 2019, they led a seven-day sound healing retreat in Costa Rica — daily educational workshops on frequency and the chakras, nightly healing concerts, and private sessions for individual participants. They have performed at the Washington Monument with a 250-person choir, at the Guru Nanak Festival on the National Mall, at the Edgar Cayce Foundation, and at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM). In a memorable collaboration at DC's Gypsy Alley, they joined forces with the Zotigh Singers — Native American performers associated with the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian, led by Dennis Zotigh — weaving traditional pow wow drumming into an original Woven Green song in a genuine reciprocal exchange between traditions.

Jim and Ashley arrive in San Miguel de Allende not at the end of something, but at the beginning of their next chapter.
